    A chance to tidy up before the Independent Market. We meet between the C&G entrance and the river: look for our flag. If this weather holds, remember a hat and sunblock. The more adventurous are advised to wear tough shoes or boots.

    Summer Activity on the River
    Book some or all of August 9-15 whenRiver Friends are planning explorations - walking, wading and pulling any clumps of Himalayan Balsam which remain in the upper reaches. Tools, waders and snacks will be provided. We are planning two morning sessions and an afternoon session each day so you could join us for as many as you like. Working parties
concentrate on some aspect of improving the appearance of the river and its surroundings. Bring tough gloves and sturdy footwear (preferably boots), and wear clothes that won't be ruined by catching on brambles etc.

Unless otherwise stated, we meet at 10.00am outside the Cheese and Grain. Look out for our flag.
